A Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation is responsible for keeping an aircraft legally airworthy over its whole life — not for turning the spanners, but for making sure the right work is planned, controlled, recorded and reviewed.

What CAMO work involves

CAMO engineers build and maintain the aircraft maintenance programme, assess and embody airworthiness directives and service bulletins, control life-limited parts and time-controlled components, manage deferred defects, run reliability monitoring, and prepare or issue Airworthiness Review Certificates.

It is document-heavy, deadline-driven work where an oversight does not show up as a broken part but as an aircraft that legally cannot fly. Accuracy and traceability are the entire job.
