Community Guidelines

JobAvion is a professional network for the aviation community — pilots, cabin crew, engineers, technicians, drone operators, students, and the companies that work with them. These guidelines keep the platform safe, useful, and respectful for everyone. By using JobAvion, you agree to follow them.

1. Be Respectful and Professional

Treat every member as you would a colleague at work. Disagreement is fine; disrespect is not.

  • No personal attacks, insults, or demeaning comments.
  • No harassment, bullying, stalking, or threats of any kind.
  • No hate speech or discrimination based on race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability.

2. Keep It Relevant and Honest

JobAvion is built around aviation careers, training, and knowledge sharing.

  • Use your real identity. Impersonating another person, company, or authority is prohibited.
  • Do not misrepresent your licenses, ratings, qualifications, or experience.
  • Post content that is relevant to aviation professionals and the platform's purpose.

3. No Spam or Manipulation

  • No unsolicited advertising, bulk messaging, or repetitive self-promotion.
  • No fake reviews, vote manipulation, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
  • No scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent job or service offers.

4. Reviews and Feedback in Good Faith

Reviews of companies and training providers must reflect genuine, first-hand experience. Do not post reviews you were paid to write, reviews of competitors you have not dealt with, or content designed to defame rather than inform.

5. Protect Safety-Critical and Confidential Information

  • Technical discussions, logbooks, and shared documents are for peer knowledge only — they never replace official manufacturer or regulatory documentation.
  • Do not share information that violates an employer confidentiality or non-disclosure agreement.
  • Never present platform content as approved data for actual flight operations or maintenance decisions.

6. Respect Privacy

Do not share another person's private information — phone numbers, home addresses, private messages, or documents — without their consent.

7. Stay On-Platform for Recruitment

Where the platform facilitates paid connections between candidates and employers or agencies, do not attempt to circumvent the system by moving contact off-platform before the agreed step is completed. This protects both candidates and the integrity of the marketplace.

8. Enforcement

Our moderation team reviews reports and may take action when these guidelines are broken. Depending on the severity and history, this can include:

  • Warning — a notice that your behavior breached the guidelines, with a chance to correct it.
  • Mute — a temporary restriction on posting, commenting, and creating topics.
  • Account Freeze — temporary loss of access to most features (you can still reach Settings and your Profile).
  • Ban — permanent removal from the platform for serious or repeated violations.

If you believe an action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting us at office@jobavion.com.

9. Reporting

If you see content or behavior that breaks these guidelines, please report it through the platform or email office@jobavion.com. Reports are confidential.

10. Updates

We may update these guidelines as the community grows. Continued use of JobAvion means you accept the current version. These guidelines complement our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
